The demands have multiplied, while the helpers have become few
Seeking support for conveying the religion and spreading the truth is a firmly established principle in the methodology of the Prophets, peace and blessings be upon them all, and a continuing tradition in the call of the righteous predecessors. The call cannot stand without it, nor can the truth spread except through the availability of those who aid it.
Allāh, Exalted is He, says: “But when Ēsā sensed disbelief from them, he said, ‘Who are my supporters for Allāh?’ The disciples said, ‘We are the supporters of Allāh.’”
And the Prophet ﷺ said, when he was constrained and prevented from conveying the message: “Is there not a man who will carry me so that I may convey the words of my Lord? For Quraysh have prevented me from conveying the words of Allāh.”
Thus, this call of the Prophets is repeated as the circumstances of da‘wah recur. It emerges whenever tribulations increase, protectors become few, and those who uphold knowledge and clarity grow weak.
Today we are living a similar reality: Doubts have multiplied, innovations have spread, the ignorant have taken the forefront, and many who are capable have remained silent. Consequently, the obligation has become greater and the responsibility more severe.
Therefore, supporting the religion and its callers today is realised through:
▪️ Disseminating sound knowledge upon the methodology of the righteous predecessors.
▪️ Defending the Sunnah and refuting doubts with proof and evidence.
▪️Exposing innovations and warning against them, without compromise or dilution.
▪️Thwarting the doctrinal and methodological projects of the enemies of the Ummah before their political ones.
Glad tidings, then, to whoever hastens forward, bears the trust, and fills the breach. Indeed, Allāh is the Supporter of His religion, yet He tests His servants:
Who will stand for the truth?
Who will remain steadfast upon it?
And who will be among the supporters of Allāh?
“O you who believe, be supporters of Allāh, as Ēsā, son of Mariam, said to the disciples, ‘Who are my supporters for Allāh?’ The disciples said, ‘We are the supporters of Allāh.’ So a group from the Children of Israel believed, and a group disbelieved. Then We supported those who believed against their enemy, and they became dominant.”
