مَا هِيَ أَكْبَرُ الْكَبَائِرِ؟
Question: What are the biggest major sins?
أكْبَرُ الْكَبَائِرِ الشِّرْكُ بِاللهِ وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَينِ، وَشَهَادَةُ الزورِ. وَالدَّلِيلُ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ ﷺ: ((ألا أُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِأَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ؟ "ثَلَاثًا" ((الْإِشْرَاكُ بِاللهِ، وَعُقُوقُ الْوَالِدَينَ، وَشَهَادَةُ الرُّور)).
Answer: The biggest major sins are:
1. Associating partners with Allāh (shirk)
2. Disrespecting your parents
3. Giving false testimony
Evidence: The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Shall I tell you what the biggest major sins are?” (He said this three times.) “They are: associating partners with Allāh, disrespecting your parents, and giving false testimony.”
