If you see something you deeply desire but can't have, calm your nafs by remembering that Allāh has prepared an even better version for you in Jannah...This mindset will not only save you from sorrow, it will help you stay focused on the ultimate reward. كان أبو حازم رحمه الله يمر على الفاكهة في السوق فيشتهيها، فيقول: «موعدك الجنة»“ Abū Ḥāzim (Salamah ibn Dīnār) — may Allāh have mercy on him — would pass by fruits in the market and desire them, so he would say: “Your appointment is in Paradise (*).” [Ḥilyat Al-Awliyā' (3/246)] ____ (*) referring to Allāh's statement: {وَفَـٰكِهَةࣲ مِّمَّا یَتَخَیَّرُونَ} “˹They will be served˺ any fruits of their choice” [Sūrah Al-Wâqi`ah: 20]
