FOOD FOR THOUGHT [Forwarded]

The irony of it all is that knowledge came down so we can become educated with it. Yet while knowledge has been easier to access than ever before, literally at the tips of our fingers with simple swipes, we have become more ignorant than ever. If someone were to ask us for proofs we would have to Google it. Knowledge is no longer given a home in our hearts but rather our hearts became a hotel room to accomodate it as a guest for merely a few hours, and our limbs are strangers to its implementation. We just read but never apply. Rather we learn so we can learn what is wājib from what is Sunnah merely so that we do not have to implement an action. And perhaps it is even more ironic that knowledge was sent to unite our hearts, yet we began to use it to as a weapon with those who differ with us on a single opinion. And yet we use the Statements of Allah and His Messenger as shields to justify wrongful backbiting. We have exhausted more pages, yet what have we learned? How many more people have we called to the religion instead of pushing them away due to our actions and poor manners and lack of wisdom? Our social media became full of benefits, yet we have increased in nothing except in age and sins.
