The fruits of your da'wah may not come during your lifetime

Sheikh 'Uthaymeen rahimahullah said: “Victory is not confined to one becoming victorious during their lifetime and seeing the fruits of their Da'wah. Rather, victory may come after a person's death; that's if Allah places acceptance in the hearts of His creation to that which he invited them to, and they take it on board and adhere to it. This is a victory for this caller - even if he has passed on. Hence the caller must remain patient and consistent in his Da'wah. Patient against the harms he may encounter. Here are the Messengers, peace be upon them, who were harmed both verbally and physically. Allah The Almighty said: {كَذَلِكَ مَا أَتَى الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ رَسُولٍ إِلَّا قَالُوا سَاحِرٌ أَوْ مَجْنُونٌ} “Likewise, no Messenger came to those before them, but they said: "A sorcerer or a madman!” And Allah The Almighty said: {وَكَذَلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ عَدُوّاً مِنَ الْمُجْرِمِينَ} “Thus We have made for every Prophet an enemy from among the criminals.” [Surat Al-Furqan, 31] But the caller must counter this harm with patience. And look at the statement of Allah The Almighty when addressing His Messenger ﷺ: {إِنَّا نَحْنُ نَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْكَ الْقُرْآنَ تَنْزِيلاً} “Indeed, it is We Who have revealed the Quran to you ˹O Prophet˺ in stages.” The expectation was that it would be said [in the following Ayah]: “be grateful for the blessing of your Lord (i.e. Be grateful for the Qurʿān)”, instead the Almighty and Majestic said: {فَاصْبِرْ لِحُكْمِ رَبِّكَ} {So be patient for the judgment of your Lord.} [Surat Al-Insan: 24] In this is an indication that everyone who shoulders the (duty of the) Qur’an will be faced with that which requires patience.” [Sharh Usool Thalaathah] •═ᴊᴏɪɴ-🅻🅴🅰🆁🅽-sʜᴀʀᴇ═•
