If the husband sees ill-conduct from his wife, he should: 1⃣. Advise & admonish her. [1] If that doesn't work, he should: 2⃣. Sleep separately from her. [1] If that doesn't work, he should: 3⃣. Discipline her gently. [1] And if a woman fears indifference & neglect from her husband, she should: 4⃣. Come to a peaceful settlement with her husband. [2] If that doesn't work, they should: 5⃣. Appoint a mediator from each side. If they desire reconciliation, Allāh will restore harmony between them. [3] If that doesn't work, the last option is separation.
