FOOLISH SUPERSTITIOUS BELIEFS❗️

When I was a littlen my aunties would remind me to always close my mus-ḥaf and tuck away my prayer mat anytime I was not using either of the two. These reminders were so frequent that I couldn't help but ask why that was. And everyone that I asked gave me the exact same reason, which is why -as foolish as it sounds- I actually thought they were right.
What was the reason given?
They told me: “whenever you leave your mus-ḥaf open Shayṭān comes and reads from it, and whenever you leave the prayer mat open he uses it to pray on.”
____________
Alhamdu lillaah Who allowed me to realise that there's nothing authentic in Islam to prove these foolish superstitious beliefs.
COME, LET'S BE HONEST NOW. If that really was the case, shouldn't we all be donating our spare mus-ḥafs and prayer mats towards such a good cause?!!! Imagine how much reward you could earn!!! But the truth of that matter is, it's all a load of nonsense.
Moral of the story:
Don't believe everything aunty tells you!
