BENEFIT: Four means of gaining spiritual strength

1⃣. Recite the following dua: اللهم أعني على ذكرك، وشكرك، وحسن عبادتك “Oh Allah! Assist me in remembering You, in thanking You, and in worshipping You in the best of manners” 2⃣. Repeat the following frequently: لا حول ولا قوة الا بالله “There is no power nor strength except with Allah” - The Prophet ﷺ said, ‘Shall I teach you a sentence which is from the treasures of Paradise?’ And then he recited this - One is admitting that they have no strength or ability to carry out the worship except by Allah’s assistance 3⃣. Do frequent Istighfaar and tawbah - Istighfaar (i.e saying astaghfirullah), indicates protection. Not only is the sin wiped away, but you are also protected from the negative effects of the sin - Tawbah is returning back to Allah and no longer engaging in that practice anymore. You gain a physical strength when you do Istighfaar and tawbah, and one finds lightness in doing this. Since we constantly fall into sin, we should do this frequently. 4⃣. Do this dhikr before sleeping:       سبحان الله (x33)       الحمد لله (x33)       الله أكبر (x34) - Fatima came to the Prophet ﷺ asking for a servant. He said, "May I inform you of something better than that? When you go to bed, recite…” and he recited this dhikr - If the Prophet ﷺ said that it is better than a servant, then what can be taken is that it gives one the strength to do many deeds as the servant would have taken on this extra weight The Prophet ﷺ said, “A strong believer is better and more beloved to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in both…” Imaam An Nawawi mentions that this is inner strength to carry out worship. The stronger a person is, the quicker and more proactive they are in carrying out good deeds. Taken from Ustadh Abu Attiyah's reminder to sisters after Asr.
