Fourthly, the ḥadīth of Barā' ibn 'Āzib, may Allāh be pleased with him, that the Prophet ﷺ said regarding the Anṣār:

((لا يحبهم إلا مؤمن و لا يبغضهم إلا منافق من أحبهم أحبه الله و من أبغضهم أبغضه الله)) "Only a believer loves them, and only a hypocrite hates them. Allāh loves those who love them and hates those who hate them".‏ [Bukhāri & Muslim] 6. We should all do our best to understand the matters of belief mentioned in this poem along with the relevant evidences from the Qur'ān and the Sunnah. 7. "Loving the companions, all of them (without exception) is part of my doctrine" And because the Ṣaḥābah hold such a great standing in the sight of Allāh, we must love, honour, and defend them; every single one of them without exception; those who witnessed the battle of Badr as well as those who had not, those who had accepted Islām before the pledge of allegiance (Ar-Riḍhwān) on the day of Al-ḥudaybiyyah as well as those who accepted Islām after this, those related to the Prophet ﷺ as well as those who weren't.
