The Benefits of ‘Lā Ḥawla wa lā Quwwata illā billāh’

Imam Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allāh have mercy on him, said: “Whoever has abundant worries and sorrows should frequently say: لا حـــــــول ولا قــــــوة إلا بـــــــالله ‘There is no power nor strength except with Allāh.’” [Zād Al-Ma‘ad, 4/183] Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, may Allāh have mercy on him, said in Majmū‘ Al-Fatāwā (13/321): “The phrase: لا حـــــــول ولا قــــــوة إلا بـــــــالله ‘There is no power nor strength except with Allāh’ brings about divine assistance. For this reason, the Prophet ﷺ prescribed it.
