Verses That Came in a Dream Sheikh Sulaymān Al-’Uyūni ḥafidhahullāh said I wanted to put the two books (An-Naḥu Aṣ-Ṣaghīr & Aṣ-Ṣarf Aṣ-Ṣaghīr) into verse, and many people also asked me to do so, because memorising poetry is easier. But I am not a poet, and I had never written poetry before. I asked a number of brothers who are known for writing verse to do it. Some of them started trying, but none of them finished. Then, perhaps due to thinking about it so much and caring so much, I began to see some lines of poetry in my dreams for An-Naḥu Aṣ-Ṣaghīr. This kept happening, and it became frequent. When I woke up, I would write down those lines and revise them. Within about three days, most of the poem came to me. Sometimes I would even deliberately fall asleep so that the lines would come to me in a dream, and then I would complete them. After that, I finished it, reviewed it, and named it “Revelation of the Dream” for the An-Naḥu Aṣ-Ṣaghīr. Then I hoped to do the same for Aṣ-Ṣarf Aṣ-Ṣaghīr. I would place the book beside me, read from it, and then sleep—but no lines came to me at all. So I sought help from Allāh and composed it in about two hundred lines. An-Naḥu Aṣ-Ṣaghīr in one hundred lines and Aṣ-Ṣarf in two hundred lines... ____ The series thus far, may Allāh facilitate its completion ⤵️ https://t.me/madrasatuna/5582
