Why are you not then shy of Allah’s angels who keep watch of every move that you make?

(وَإِنَّ عَلَیۡكُمۡ لَحَـٰفِظِینَ ۝ كِرَامࣰا كَـٰتِبِینَ ۝ یَعۡلَمُونَ مَا تَفۡعَلُونَ) “Verily, you are certainly observed by vigilant, honourable angels, recording ˹everything˺. They know whatever you do.” [Surah Al-Infitar 10 - 12] You are shy of people, yet your shame to engage in these acts before the King of all Kings; the most severe in punishment (Allah)! (یَسۡتَخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَا یَسۡتَخۡفُونَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ وَهُوَ مَعَهُمۡ إِذۡ یُبَیِّتُونَ مَا لَا یَرۡضَىٰ مِنَ ٱلۡقَوۡلِۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ بِمَا یَعۡمَلُونَ مُحِیطًا) “They try to hide ˹their wrondoings˺ from people, but they can never hide it from Allah—in Whose presence they plot by night what is displeasing to Him. And Allah is Fully Aware of what they do.” [Surah An-Nisa' 108] 5. Shaytān beautifies evil and makes it fair seeming to a person. This is how he allures people to commit fahshaa wal munkar. We should counter this by learning about the gravity of sins & the punishments for committing such sins. It was narrated from Thawban that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: “I certainly know people from my nation who will come on the Day of Resurrection with good deeds like the mountains of Tihamah, but Allah will make them like scattered dust.” Thawban said: “O Messenger of Allah, describe them to us and tell us more, so that we will not become of them unknowingly.” He said: “They are your brothers and from your race, worshipping at night as you do, but they will be people who, when they are alone, transgress the sacred limits of Allah.” [Sunan Ibn Majah] Also, when the desires reach a boiling point and you wish to commit Haraam think of all the defects of women; things that will put you off, such as menstruation, post natal bleeding, etc. 6. If the woman who has provoked your desires is that beautiful, what about the hoorul ain who Allah has prepared as a reward for those who suppressed their desires and safeguarded their chastity?!!! The Prophet ﷺ said: “Her veil is better than the world and everything in it.” [Bukha‌ri‌] That's just her veil!!! 7. Read about jannah & Hellfire. And also read about the biographies of the righteous servants of Allāh. 8. Be around people who will increase your eeman, and stay away from people and things that will decrease your eeman. 9. Du'a, du'a, du'a!!! (وَإِذَا سَأَلَكَ عِبَادِی عَنِّی فَإِنِّی قَرِیبٌۖ أُجِیبُ دَعۡوَةَ ٱلدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِۖ فَلۡیَسۡتَجِیبُوا۟ لِی وَلۡیُؤۡمِنُوا۟ بِی لَعَلَّهُمۡ یَرۡشُدُونَ) When My servants ask you ˹O Prophet˺ about Me: I am truly near. I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon Me. So let them respond ˹with obedience˺ to Me and believe in Me, perhaps they will be guided ˹to the Right Way˺. [Surah Al-Baqarah 186] For example: ”اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ الْخَيْرَاتِ وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ وَأَنْ تَغْفِرَ لِي وَتَرْحَمَنِي وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِتْنَةَ قَوْمٍ فَتَوَفَّنِي غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُ إِلَى حُبِّكَ.“ “O Allāh! I ask You to allow me to do good deeds, avoid evil deeds, to love the poor, that You forgive me and have mercy upon me, and when You have willed Fitnah upon the people, then take me without being trialled. And I ask You for Your love, the love of whomever You love, and the love of the deeds that bring one nearer to Your love.” [Reported by Tirmithi (3235) & Aḥmad (5/243)]
