Ustadh Abu Ya'qub Abdullāh Zayla'ee stated:

I chose Sh Albaani رحمه الله 1) He revived the science of authenticating and weakening Hadith. And even with his little resources, he still was unmatched in his skills to the extent Imam Muqbil said he was better than a computer. 2) He dismantled many of the doubts of the people of innovation in his books and debates. 3) He was unmatched in how he used to save his time and not waste it. 4) He revived the aspect of leaving off blind following and taqleed, and magnifying the evidences. His works helped create a generation of students and teachers whose methodology emphasised evidence-based fiqh built on authenticated Hadith. 5) He revived the Salafi Manhaj in a way that many of his contemporaries (رحمهم الله) were not able to, and he distinguished it from the Ikhwaani methodology.
