Smooth Deals, No Drama Question: If someone buys a product, can they mention the hadith: ((رحم الله امرءًا سَمْحًا إذا باع)) “May Allāh have mercy on a person who is easygoing when he sells” to the shop owner? Sheikh ibn Baz rahimahullah: What is the objection? The Prophet ﷺ said: “May Allāh have mercy on a person who is easygoing when he sells, easygoing when he buys, and easygoing when he collects (a debt),”—meaning easygoing applies in all interactions between people.
