Question: Why do you share business adverts on your channels?
Answer: I share adverts on my channels for the following reasons:
1⃣. To Encourage and Support Halāl Initiatives
In a society saturated with ḥarām, many justify engaging in doubtful or clearly prohibited practices by claiming that “there is no halāl alternative.” Sharing adverts helps demonstrate that halāl options do exist.
(See: t.me/madrasatuna/2473)
2⃣. Loving for My Brothers and Sisters What I Love for Myself
Promoting beneficial, halāl business opportunities is an expression of sincere goodwill and brotherhood.

3⃣. To Discourage Begging and Financial Dependence
These adverts encourage lawful earning and self-sufficiency, which is more in line with Salafi teaching than reliance on others.
4⃣. To Help Sustain the Daʿwah
When Muslim businesses advertise on this channel (https://t.me/salafihomeschool/892), their advertising fees go directly to the Masjid Ṣaḥābah project. This is a far superior way to support the project than extending our hands to the public. It also spares Muslim businesses from having to advertise elsewhere, where they may encounter ḥarām elements.
5⃣. To Provide a Clear Salafi Alternative
I recently promoted an ʿUmrah package to show those working in the ʿUmrah industry that it can be done without photography, documentaries, and other practices previously refuted on the channel.

6⃣. To Dispel Misconceptions
Some people misunderstand our refutations:
* When we refute football fanaticism, they assume we declare football entirely ḥarām.
* When we warn against begging and going from masjid to masjid for funds, they assume we oppose all cooperation.
* When we caution against being absorbed in the dunya, they assume we condemn seeking a halāl livelihood.
* When we refute ʿUmrah documentaries, they assume we forbid group ʿUmrah trips altogether.
Sharing these occasional adverts help dispel these misconceptions.
7⃣. To Direct People Toward Good
I promoted the ʿUmrah trip to inform people—so that whoever wishes to benefit may do so. Whether someone wants to meet up for tea, sisters wish to benefit from Umm ʿAbdillāh, or individuals want to ask Shaykh ’Abdullāh Lamh questions—advertising helps alert sincere seekers of khayr to beneficial gatherings, even if they do not purchase the package.
8⃣. Secondary Functions Do Not Necessarily Undermine the Primary Purpose
Just as a masjid contains areas used for ṣalāh and other rooms that serve supporting functions—and even the prayer hall may occasionally be used for non-worship activities (https://t.me/masjidsahabah/1422)—without affecting the sanctity of the masjid, likewise, a daʿwah channel may include occasional non-daʿwah posts without altering its primary purpose or undermining its mission.
In light of the above, I do not consider such occasional adverts to undermine the daʿwah or reduce it to a commercial venture.
