Three Practical Benefits Every Vehicle Owner Should Know

1⃣. Upon Acquiring a Vehicle
On the authority of ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿAmr, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“When one of you marries a woman or acquires a servant, let him say: ‘O Allāh! I ask You for the goodness in her and the goodness of what You have created in her nature, and I seek refuge in You from her evil and the evil of what You have created in her nature.’ And when one purchases a camel, let him take hold of the top of its hump and say the same.”
Graded as ḥasan (sound) by Sheikh Al-Albānī in Ṣaḥīḥ Sunan Abī Dāwūd.
Some scholars have said that vehicles take the same ruling as a riding beasts, since they all serve as modes of transportation. As such, one hopes for the benefit they may bring and fears any harm they may cause. Therefore, it is legislated to make this supplication upon acquiring a vehicle.
2⃣. When commuting short distances
His Eminence, Sheikh AbdulAziz bin Baz (may Allāh have mercy on him) said:
"The supplication for riding (modes of transport) is recommended when a person mounts an animal, boards a car, airplane, ship, or any other mode of transport with the intention of travel. As for ordinary riding within the city—such as commuting locally or using an elevator—I am not aware of any shar'i evidence from the Islamic sources that establishes the legitimacy of reciting the travel supplication in such cases. It is well known among scholars that all acts of worship are tawqīfiyyah (i.e., restricted to what is legislated), meaning that only those acts of worship which are supported by evidence from the Qur'ān, authentic Sunnah, or sound scholarly consensus are considered permissible."

3⃣. Persistent Vehicle Malfunctions?
Sheikh Najeeb Ash-Shar’abi ḥafidhahullāh said:
"It is also permissible to sprinkle ruqyah water on the walls of a home or on other inanimate objects. There is no shar'i objection to this. In some cases, sorcery may have been applied to a wall or similar surface, and removing it requires sprinkling ruqyah water upon it—for example, on a vehicle. Applying ruqyah to a car by sprinkling it with ruqyah water, washing it with this water, or even pouring it into the engine cooling system is both beneficial and has been tried and tested. Inanimate objects can benefit from ruqyah just as human beings can, whether the object is a house, a car, or something else." [https://t.me/ruqyachannel/178]
