4⃣. Three Conditions for Acts that Invalidate Fasting:

13 March 2025 • 1.9K views
- Knowledge (عالمًا) – The person must be aware that the act breaks the fast. - Remembrance (ذاكرًا) – Forgetfulness does not nullify the fast. - Free Will (مختارًا) – If done under coercion, the fast remains valid. -> If someone engages in intercourse forgetfully—though highly unlikely—their fast remains valid. 5⃣. The Importance of Context in Issuing Fatwas: - The Prophet ﷺ asked, "What is the matter with you?" (مَا لَكَ؟) before responding. - This highlights that a mufti must gather relevant details before issuing a ruling. - "A ruling is based on a proper understanding of the situation" (الحكم فرع عن تصوره). 6⃣. Euphemisms in Discussing Sensitive Topics: - The phrase "I fell upon my wife" (وقعت على امرأتي) is a polite expression for intercourse. - Islam encourages using discreet language rather than explicit or vulgar terms. Examples of euphemisms for intercourse: - In the Qur'ān: الرفث، الغِشيان، الإتيان، اللمس، المسّ، الإفضاء، المباشرة، النكاح - In the Sunnah: التعريس، لبس الخاتم، المجاهدة، المقارفة 7⃣. The Term "Raqabah" (رقبة) Literally Means "Neck": - In this context, it refers to freeing of a slave. - The Arabs sometimes refer to a part to indicate the whole. - Example: {تبت يدا أبي لهب} ("May the hands of Abu Lahab perish")—meaning Abu Lahab himself, not just his hands. 8⃣. The Meaning of "Lāba" (لابة): - The term لابة refers to a lava field (حَرّة in Arabic). - Madinah was flanked by two volcanic regions—one to the east and one to the west. 9⃣. The Prophet’s ﷺ Mercy and Wisdom in Handling the Situation: - A da‘ee must exhibit patience and wisdom in addressing people’s mistakes. - The Prophet ﷺ did not humiliate or expose the man despite the gravity of his sin. - Intercourse is the most severe act that invalidates fasting. 🔟. The Kaffārah Must Be Fulfilled in Order, Not by Choice: - The narration in Sahih Muslim that mentions "or" (أو) is interpreted as division, not an option to choose freely. - Sheikh Al-Albani critiques this narration in Irwaa’ Al-Ghaleel and considers it weak. for more benefits ⤵️ https://t.me/aboammaar/4408 Source: https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaDlIsw6BIEcpVCHOl3v
