BENEFIT 310: Wisdom is crucial!

Question: My father is a Christian and lives in a different country to me. We communicate through social media platforms. For the past four years, I have been inviting him to Islam, but he constantly involves me in fruitless arguments. Should I continue engaging in these debates, or should I avoid discussing religious matters with him and limit our conversation to asking about his well-being? Sheikh ’Adnān Al-Masqari ḥafidhahullāh: Ask about his well-being, treat him kindly, maintain communication with him, address his misconceptions, and clarify his confusions. However, you must possess sufficient knowledge to do so. It is essential to approach him with insight and understanding, so you can explain matters convincingly and with clarity. A wise individual, even with limited knowledge, has a greater impact than a knowledgeable person without wisdom. Wisdom is crucial! A person with wisdom can effectively convey the truth, highlighting the virtues of Islam, its benefits, and its status as the true religion. You should emphasise that other religions have been abrogated and that Christianity, as it is practiced today, is based on fabrications. Prophet ’Ēsā peace be upon him did not command them to follow the beliefs they hold today. Focus on the teachings of the Qur'ān and the Sunnah regarding Jews and Christians. They are sufficient for addressing such matters. ➡️@almanhajussalafi
