2 June 2020 • 3.4K views
Q1. How do I enroll? A1. If you've already subscribed to, t.me/madrasatuna, then consider yourself enrolled. Otherwise, you'll need to join this channel to keep upto date with the programme. Q2. But most people are at work during those times? A2. The classes are not live. They are pre-recorded video clips (no animate beings involved) lasting approximately 10 minutes each, which will be uploaded at the set times insha Allah. Students will then have until the start of the next class to watch, take notes, revise and understand each clip. Q3. How much is the course? A3. Free of charge. Q4. Is there a catch? A4. No. There's no catch. Q5. Does that mean the quality is so poor that it's free? A5. I'll leave that to you to decide. But I'll do my utmost to benefit you, and I hope that you do the same on your side. Q6. Who's teaching? A6. Abu Ishaq Muhammad Ibn Ahmad. Q7. Where has he studied? A7. Dammāj. Q8. What are we going to be studying? A8. I wanted to begin teaching the Madina Book series, but this comes with the pre-condition that students must already be able to read and write Arabic; well at least, the basics. But unfortunately, seeing as this is not the case for many new/practising Muslims; who are my main target audience, I've decided to begin teaching the Arabic Alphabet; reading & writing simultaneously. Once the foundation is set, we will continue working upwards storey by storey until every student is able to walk on their own two feet -in sha Allah-. Q9. Can I quit midway? A9. Yes. You are under no obligation. In fact, if you're planning on making Hijrah, then place your trust in Allāh and go for it, and please don't let this hold you back. But if you're quitting for any other reason, then I hope it's only to go upwards - not sideways, and most definitely not downwards. Q10. How long is the course? A10. Our aim is to continue seeking knowledge until death do us part, but with regards to timing, we will adopt the Prophet's advice ﷺ to ibn ‘Umar: كن في الدنيا كأنك غريب أو عابر سبيل “live in this Dunya as though you are a stranger or a wayfarer...” Thereafter, ibn ‘Umar -raḍhiyallāhu ‘anhu- would say: إذا أصبحت فلا تتنظر المساء، وإذا أمسيت فلا تنتظر الصباح “If you reach morning don't expect to live until the evening, and if you reach evening don't expect to live until the morning.” [Reported by Bukhāri] Our objective is not so much on completing a particular series of books or syllabus, it is far greater than that. We are treading this path in hope that it leads us to our ultimate destination; Jannah (insha Allah) The Prophet ﷺ said: ((من سلك طريقًا يلتمس فيه علما سهل الله له به طريقًا إلى الجنة)) “Allāh makes the path to Jannah easy for him who treads the path in search of knowledge." [Reported by Muslim] May Allāh grant us all sincerity & success in this initiative.
