In light of the repeated emails, I felt it appropriate to share this response publicly, as you all have a right to know who you are taking knowledge from. I would also like to use this opportunity to encourage everyone to take full advantage of this opportunity. The teacher of this course is our dear brother Shafiq ḥafidhahullāh, who has studied Arabic, Qur’an, and other books in Egypt. In Saudi, where he currently resides, he has benefitted from various people of knowledge, such Shaykh Al-Fawzan, Shaykh Luhaydan, Shaykh ‘Abdullah Al-Qussayir. In Makkah, he has studied with Shaykh Yahya some portions of Tafsir ibn Kathir as well Muntaqa of ibn Jarud before the shaykh returned back to Yemen. In addition, he studied some books with Shaykh Abdullah Khawlani. At the moment he, alongside other brothers, co-operate in translating Friday and ‘Arafah sermons at Al-Haram Al-Makki. Lastly, the lesson is scheduled to begin this upcoming Saturday, inshaAllah.
