The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ((أَلاَ وَإِنَّ فِي الْجَسَدِ مُضْغَةً إِذَا صَلَحَتْ صَلَحَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ، وَإِذَا فَسَدَتْ فَسَدَ الْجَسَدُ كُلُّهُ‏، أَلاَ وَهِيَ الْقَلْبُ)) “Verily, there is a morsel of flesh in the body: if it is sound, the whole body is sound, and if it is corrupt, the whole body is corrupt. Verily, it is the heart” (Bukhārī). Softening the heart brings one closer to Allāh, enhances their moral character, and fosters compassion towards others. It serves as a foundation for both personal spiritual growth and social harmony.
