“Islām is thicker than blood and water” ______________________ Due to the ongoing pandemics and the lockdown measures in place across many parts of the world, for many, this may be the most lonesome ‘Eid in years. But did you know that many of our revert brothers and sisters - especially the unmarried - experience this loneliness and sadness every year? I implore you to take a few moments to appreciate the blessing of being born into a Muslim family and extend that joy to as many reverts as possible. May Allāh soften our hearts towards them. The Prophet ﷺ said: ((الرَّاحِمُونَ يَرْحَمُهُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ، ارْحَمُوا مَنْ فِي الأَرْضِ يَرْحَمْكُمْ مَنْ فِي السَّمَاءِ)) “The merciful are shown mercy by The Most Merciful (Ar-Raḥmān). Be merciful to those on earth, and you will be shown mercy from He Who is above the heavens.” [Reported by Tirmithi; who said, it is 'ḥassan Ṣaḥīḥ'] So a special ‘Eid Mubārak to all my revert brothers & sisters out there!
