Questioner: May Allāh reward you with goodness, Your Eminence. A questioner asks: If a guest comes to you and you wish to determine whether he follows the Sunnah or is an innovator, and you mention something he dislikes in order to determine his stance, is that permissible?
Sheikh Ṣāliḥ Al-Fawzān ḥafidhahullāh
Do not test him nor scrutinise him. Give him his right in hospitality and do not search for anything about him.
