Working For The Tax & Customs Department

A questioner asks: Is it permissible for a man to work as an employee with the tax and customs authorities? Sheikh ’Adnān Al-Maṣqari ḥafidhahullāh: It is not permissible, as it involves taking people's wealth unjustly and wronging them, which is prohibited. It is not permissible to assist in wrongdoing. Cooperating in wrongdoing is forbidden.
