Are You Going to Wake up Tomorrow?

Who promised you that you'll wake up tomorrow? Who guaranteed that you'll have another chance to repent, to pray, to seek Allah's forgiveness, or to make things right? Look how quickly circumstances can change. Did those 900+ Venezuelans expect that such a decree would suddenly befall them? Did those who attended that music festival know what awaited them before they left their homes? None of them believed that day would unfold the way it did. We often live as though tomorrow is guaranteed, but none of us has been given that promise. Death does not wait for old age, good health, or a convenient time. If there is a sin you've been delaying leaving, leave it today. If there is a prayer you've been neglecting, return to it today. If there is a wrong that needs correcting, correct it today. If there is repentance you've been postponing, make tawbah today. Turn back to Allah before it's too late. The door of tawbah remains open as long as your soul has not reached your throat and the sun has not risen from the west. Don't let procrastination become regret. Today is an opportunity that tomorrow may never bring.
