"And We made his (Nuḥ عليه السلام) descendants those who remained on the earth."
Every person you see, whether righteous or wicked, can take pride in the fact that their lineage traces back to two prophets: Ādam and Nūḥ, peace be upon them both. However, this genealogical connection to the Prophets will not benefit you in the slightest before Allāh. So, how could your ancestry from those who are not Prophets be of any benefit to you?!

Sheikhul Islām Ibn Taymiyyah raḥimahullāh said:
‏"ليس في كتاب الله آية واحدة يُمدح فيها أحداً بنسبه ولا يُذم أحداً بنسبه، وإنما يمدح بالإيمان والتقوى ويذم بالكفر والفسوق والعصيان."
"There's not one Āayh in the Book of Allāh where one is praised or criticised due to his lineage. A person is only praised (in the Qurān) for Eman and Taqwa. And a person is criticised for disbelief, corruption and disobedience."
