I keep forgetting my Qur'ān...

Sheikh Uthaymeen raḥimahullāh said: وهذا من حكمة الله عز وجل أن يكون القرآن ينسى سريعًا؛ لأجل أن يحرص القارئ على تعاهده وكثرة تلاوته فيحصل له الأجر ويزداد أجرًا، وليكون هذا امتحان واختبار من الله عز وجل فيمن هو حريص على كتاب الله، أو ليس بحريص. ‏فأوصي إخواني الذين منَّ الله عليهم بحفظ القرآن أن يكثروا من قراءته، لما في ذلك من الأجر والثواب. "This is part of Allah's wisdom, Glorified is He and Exalted, that the Qur'an is forgotten quickly so that the reader is diligent in revisiting it and frequently reciting it, thus earning reward and increasing in merit. This serves as a test and trial from Allāh, Glorified is He and Exalted, to distinguish those who are dedicated to His Book from those who are not. Therefore, I advise my brothers, who Allāh has blessed with memorising the Qur'an, to recite it frequently, for in doing so there is great reward and merit."
