Don't be hasty in seeking revenge against those who have wronged you

Al-'Allāmah Ibn Al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him, said:
«وإن العبد ليشتد فرحه يوم القيامة بما له قبل الناس من الحقوق في المال والنفس والعرض. فالعاقل يعد هذا ذخرا ليوم الفقر والفاقة، ولا يبطله بالانتقام الذي لا يجدي عليه شيئا».
"Certainly, the servant will rejoice immensely on the Day of Judgment over the rights owed to him by others in terms of wealth, life, and honor. So, the wise person considers this a reserve for the day of poverty and need (Day of Judgement), and does not nullify it by seeking revenge (in this Dunya), which will not benefit him in any way."
