The discussion regarding the restricted Takbīrs on Eid does not include the ḥadīth of Ibn 'Abbās
On the authority of Ibn 'Abbās:
«أَنَّ رَفْعَ الصَّوْتِ بِالذِّكْرِ حِينَ يَنْصَرِفُ النَّاسُ مِنَ المَكْتُوبَةِ كَانَ عَلَى عَهْدِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ». وَقَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: «كُنْتُ أَعْلَمُ إِذَا انْصَرَفُوا بِذَلِكَ إِذَا سَمِعْتُهُ».
In the lifetime of the Prophet (ﷺ) it was the custom to say Dhikr aloud after the obligatory prayers." Ibn `Abbas further said, "When I heard the Dhikr, I would recognise the prayer had ended." [Bukhāri (841) Muslim (583)]
In another wording of Bukhāri (842), he said:
«كُنْتُ أَعْرِفُ انْقِضَاءَ صَلاَةِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِالتَّكْبِيرِ»
"I used to recognise the completion of the prayer of the Prophet (ﷺ) by hearing Takbīr."
What does this mean?
