Sheikh Muhammad Nasiruddin al-Albani, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "As for Istirqaa' (seeking Ruqyah from others), although it is permissible, it is disliked. This is indicated by the ḥadīth: ((هم الذين لا يسترقون ولا يكتوون ولا يتطيرون وعلى ربهم يتوكلون)). [متفق عليه] 'They are those who do not seek Ruqyah, do not practice cauterisation, do not believe in bad omens, and trust in their Lord.' [Agreed upon]" [As-Silsilah As-Saheehah (1/844)] ____ What if someone offers to perform Ruqyah? Sheikh 'Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, said: "If someone comes forward and recites Ruqyah over you without you asking them to, this does not exclude you from being included in the ḥadith, because you did not request the Ruqyah." [Majmoo’ Fatawa wa Rasail al-Uthaymeen (17/36)] ____ If someone offers to perform Ruqyah, should they be allowed? He, may Allah have mercy on him, also said: "Do not miss this opportunity because the Prophet ﷺ did not prevent Ā'ishah from performing Ruqyah on him, even though he was the most perfect of creation in terms of relying on and trusting in Allah." [Al-Qawl Al-Mufeed 'Ala Kitab At-Tawheed (70)] @ruqyachannel
