Sheikh Salih Al-Fawzan, may Allah preserve him, answered: No, he should not be a soldier for the disbelievers. A Muslim should not be a soldier for the disbelievers because he would be under their authority and executing their orders, so this is not permissible for him. However, if he works in a non-police job like construction, tailoring, or in a factory, etc., there is no harm in that. __ The Prophet ﷺ said: ((ليأتين عليكم أمراء يقربون شرار الناس ويؤخرون الصلاة عن مواقيتها فمن أدرك ذلك منهم فلا يكونن عريفا ولا شرطيا ولا جابيا ولا خازنا)) "There will come leaders who bring the worst of people close and delay prayers beyond their appointed times.
