Sheikh Abdurrahman Ash-Shimeeri ḥafidhahullāh said:

May Allāh protect and preserve you. The ḥadīth, may Allāh bless you, contains in its chain of transmission, 'Abdullāh ibn Muḥammad ibn 'Aqeel. The Scholars differed in assessing the strength and weakness of his narration; some consider his narration as حسن (good), while others deem it weak, and this is more correct - as was the view chosen by our esteemed sheikh Muqbil, may Allāh have mercy on him, who would weaken his narration. Similarly, our Sheikh Yahya, sees his narrations to be weak. This is the conclusion; there are varying opinions concerning the reliability of his narration but what's correct is that he is weak in narration.
