🎙️ Our Shaykh ʾAbū ʿAbd al-Raḥmān Jumʻān Ibn Ramaḍān Laḥmar (حفظه الله ورعاه) said in one of his lessons of al-Jāmiʿ al-Ṣaḥīḥ Min Mā Laysa Fī al-Ṣaḥīḥayn Li-I

"... It was narrated to me by ʾAbū al-ʿAbbās Muḥammad Ibn Yaʿqūb... He is the Imām, Sunnī, the Muḥaddith. He narrated aḥādīth and was a muʾadhin for over seventy years. He was steadfast and had a high aspiration for knowledge. From the severeness of his love and devotedness to seeking knowledge and narrating aḥādīth, one day he came to the Masjid to call the people to prayer. Instead of making the takbīr he began with: '...حدثنا ربيع قال حدثنا الشافعي...' '... it was narrated to me by Rabīʿ that he said: it was narrated to me by al-Shāfiʿī...' The people were overcome with laughter. And he did not change, he remained on this steadfastness and love for ḥadīth. احفظ الله يحفظك. '... Preserve (the rights of) Allāh عزوجل and He will preserve you.'
