A Kunyah is a nick-name usually based on the name of one's eldest child. In the case of men, it starts with Abu....(father of....) And in the case of women, it starts with Umm....(mother of...) For example, the Prophet's kunyah was Abu Al-Qāsim ﷺ, and Ā'ishah's Kunyah was Umm Abdillāh -raḍhiyallāhu 'anhā- ________ The post above 👆🏽was to show that anyone can have a kunyah, including those with no children, even infants!
