Was that a "Yes"❓
If so, I'd like to know:
Have you ever seen him❓
And I don't mean, in person. I mean, have you seen any videos of him delivering a sermon or even a general class❓
Was that a "No"❓
Well of course not‼️Because there are no videos of him, and don't go searching for him on YouTube because your time's too precious for that.
Now let me ask you this, have you benefited from the Sheikh in any way, considering that you've never seen any videos of him❓
Most probably, "Yes".
Let us now return to the topic at hand; are video recordings really necessary for da'wah propagation?
After knowing the severity of the punishment awaiting the picture makers, do you really think it's worth the risk❓
I understand there's a difference of opinion amongst the scholars. However, as with all matters of differing, two conflicting views cannot both be correct, so the "fīhi khilāf card" doesn't really cut it‼️
Why can't we just listen and benefit from their speech❓
Are we affected by the madh-har and the mandhar moreso than the content of what they have to offer❓
If pleasuring our eyes is more important, then we should be watching videos of waterfalls, beautiful green forests and the likes of these natural sceneries which Allāh created. I think we all agree, this is far more pleasing to the eyes. And perhaps, while reflecting over the amazing creation of Allāh when watching these sceneries, we could top it up with a sermon/recitation playing in the background; nourishment for the eyes as well the soul - 2 birds with one stone; just a suggestion.
