Narrated Ibn ’Abbās: The Prophet ﷺ said, “I have been ordered to prostrate on seven (bones) and not to tuck up the hair or garment.” [Bukhāri & Muslim]
NOTE: The prohibition of tying the hair during Ṣalāh does not apply to women
_
QUESTION: Does this prohibition include tucking the bottom of the trousers into socks when praying?
ANSWERED by Sheikh Najeeb Ash-Shar’abi ḥafidhahullāh:
“No, it is not considered KAFT (the term used to refer to tucking clothes and tying hair during Ṣalāh); because it is the custom of some to sometimes wear it in the manner described.”
