Sheikh ’Uthaymeen raḥimahullāh said: If someone sees something he likes in his wealth, he should say: ⏺ما شاء الله لا قوة إلا بالله 'This is what Allāh has willed! There is no power except with Allāh,' like in the story of the companions of the two gardens when one of them said to the other: ﴿وَلَوۡلَاۤ إِذۡ دَخَلۡتَ جَنَّتَكَ قُلۡتَ مَا شَاۤءَ ٱللهُ لَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِٱللهِ﴾ “If only you had said, upon entering your property, ‘This is what Allāh has willed! There is no power except with Allāh!' ” [Sūrah Al-Kahf: 39] This applies if he sees something [he likes] in his own wealth. And if he sees something [he likes] belonging to someone else, he should say: ⏺بارك الله عليه (1) 'May Allāh send blessing upon him,' or words to this effect. And if he sees what he likes with relation to the affairs of this Dunya, he should say: ⏺لبيك، إن العيش عيش الآخرة (2) 'I am at your service. Certainly the real life is the life of the Hereafter,' as the Prophet ﷺ used to say. I (لبيك) i.e. I answer to you, then he says: I (إن العيش عيش الآخرة) in order to reassure himself that this Dunya, however impressive it may be, it is fleeting and there is no true life in it, but the true life is in the afterlife. Sheikh Al-Albani graded it Saheeh in Sahihul-Jami' As-Saghir 1/212]. (2) This is relevant to this question ⤵️ https://t.me/madrasatuna/3225
