Masturbation?!

’Ali radhiyallahu anhu said: “If the religion was based on intellect, it would have been more appropriate to wipe the underside of the sock instead of the top, but I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wiping over the upper part of his socks. (i.e. Islam is based on revelation rather than intellect).” [Reported by Abu Dawud 162 | graded صحيح by Sheikh Albani]
I say: If the religion was based on intellect, masturbation would be Ḥarām regardless if it were through one's own hand or the wife's hand. However, did you know that it's halaal to get a "helping hand" from one's wife?!
The proofs are as follow:
● Exception given to fulfil one's desire through the wife:
{ وَٱلَّذِینَ هُمۡ لِفُرُوجِهِمۡ حَـٰفِظُونَ (5) إِلَّا عَلَىٰۤ أَزۡوَ ٰجِهِمۡ أَوۡ مَا مَلَكَتۡ أَیۡمَـٰنُهُمۡ فَإِنَّهُمۡ غَیۡرُ مَلُومِینَ (6) }
[Surah Al-Muʾminūn: 5-6]
● The Prophet ﷺ said about the menstruating woman:
((اصْنَعُوا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ إِلاَّ النِّكَاحَ))
“Do everything except intercourse.”
