Host: Many students of knowledge say that Tasweer is an issue of differing?! Sheikh Fawzan: They want to turn everything into an issue of differing. [What matters is] who the evidence is with. And it is with the hadith of the Prophet ﷺ: ((كُلُّ مُصَوِّرٍ فِي النَّارِ)) “Every picture-maker will be in the Fire.” ((إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ عَذَابًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ الْمُصَوِّرُونَ)) “The people who will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Judgement will be the picture makers.” ((...الَّذِينَ يُضَاهُونَ بِخَلْقِ اللهِ)) [The people who will receive the severest punishment on the Day of Judgement] will be those who try to make the like of Allah's creations.” ((مَنْ صَوَّرَ صُورَةً فِي الدُّنْيَا كُلِّفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ أَنْ يَنْفُخَ فِيهَا الرُّوحَ، وَلَيْسَ بِنَافِخٍ)) “Whoever makes a picture in this world will be asked to put life into it on the Day of Resurrection, but he will not be able to do so.” The image that a person creates is brought together on the day of Judgment and he will be instructed to blow life into it, but he will not be able. So, he will be punished by means of that [image]. And then we say there's differing?! What differing?! We have not been commanded to follow up issues of differing.
