Why did you choose to teach Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk when you yourself are aware that this book has so many issues (https://t.me/madrasatuna/2467)?
RESPONSE:
Once upon a time, I suggested to some brothers that we co-translate a 5 volume Fiqh book into English. Instead, one of the brothers responded by quoting the following proverb: “If you give a man fish, you feed him for a day. But if you teach him to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.”
This resonated with me and prompted me to begin recording the Madinah book series. May Allah reward the brother and allow him to share in the reward.
So of course, when the opportunity to hold physical classes presented itself, I felt that Arabic should be on the timetable. The reason being, when people are able to understand and conversate in Arabic, they can:
● feel more encouraged to study other Islamic sciences; because they have the key (Arabic) to do so
● appreciate the miraculous nature of the Qurʿān
● better understand the speech of Allah's Messenger ﷺ
● benefit from scholars directly without needing intermediaries
● feel more confident when it comes to migrating to Muslim lands (not that Muslim lands are limited to Arab countries, but it gives them more choice).
As for opting to go through Arabiyyah bayna Yadayk, then this was due to a number of reasons:
1. The book is well structured
2. Readily available
3. Highly in demand (some paying upto £60 per month for a few hours)
This 3rd reason coupled with the fact that this book contains various issues/mistakes which require clarification, is the reason why I felt it was important to provide our community with free classes where theses mistakes are filtered out (2). Thus, during the class we will (Insha'Allah):
● explain the prohibition of Tasweer and deface the heads of all images
● cover the Awrah of women
● clarify any weak and fabricated ahadeeth
● clarify any fabricated stories
● clarify the reality of the Ikhwani scholars that are praised in the book (1)
● debunk the inferiority complex in the book, whereby Muslim countries are made to look inferior
● clarify the prohibition of normalising imitation of Western culture
● clarify the prohibition of normalising praying at home in the case of men

(1) Just as we clarified in Madinah book 2 (pp 155), the erroneousness of the author's praise for the one whom he referred to as:
فضيلة الشيخ أبي الحسن الندوي
(2) Just as Sheikh Albani rahimahullah did in his checking/commentary on Sayyid Sabiq's 'Fiqh As-Sunnah' (who was an ikhwani). Not that I'm anywhere near Sheikh Albani rahimahullah, but the point is -> if a book which contains mistakes is in high demand, one approach to caution Muslims from its harm is to refine and filter such mistakes.
Sheikh Albani's book is called:
'تمام المنة في التعليق على فقه السنة'
