POINT 1:
The reward for going out early to Jumu'ah is immense:

POINT 2:
The righteous love to go out early to Jumu'ah, but sometimes they are prevented because masaajid operate a strict opening & closing time. The average opening time for most masaajid in London is a little over an hour before the Jumu'ah Khutbah. This is a disservice to those in the community who wish to come early and spend time in the masjid. It also prevents the from a great deal of reward. As such, we advice those in charge of the masaajid to run them in a manner that is pleasing to Allah ﷻ. After all, these masaajid are the houses of Allah and the most beloved places to Him.
POINT 3:
Many Muslims not only miss out on the reward for early attendance, they also miss the Jumu'ah Khutbah believing that attending and listening to the Khutbah is not obligatory.
So, what is the ruling on attending the Friday Khutbah?
Sheikh 'Uthaymeen rahimahullah said:
“If a person hears the Adhān for Jumu'ah; i.e. the Adhān that is called when the imam/khateeb enters, he MUST proceed to Jumu'ah in order to listen to the Khutbah and catch the prayer in full. But prior to the second Adhān, one is not obligated to attend. However, the people of knowledge said: Except the one whose house is far such that he is unable to reach the masjid except after the second Adhān, in which case he MUST proceed to Jumu'ah [earlier] in order to reach the masjid at the time of the second Adhān.” [Fatāwā Nūr 'alā Ad-Darb (15/188)]
POINT 4:
If someone joins the Friday prayer while the Imam is in the tashahhud, should he make up for the two units he missed or must he pray four units instead?
Summarised Fatwa of Sheikh Ibn Baz rahimahullah:
“If one joins the Jumu'ah prayer while the congregation is in tashahhud, they must pray four units instead of two, i.e. They offer Dhuhr prayer instead of Jumu'ah, because they have already missed the Jumu'ah prayer. In order for one to catch the Jumu'ah prayer, at least one rak’ah must be offered with the Imaam. Thus, if one misses the second rukū’ and joins the Imaam after this point, such as the sujood or tashahhud, then they have to pray Dhuhr rather instead of Jumu'ah.”
