This is a short clip from Sheikh Abu Amr Al-Hajoori hafidhahullah. Rather than translating, I'd like to derive two benefits:

BENEFIT 1. A Sheikh is more aware of his students than others. For this reason, when a Sheikh appoints a student to cover him/stand in his place, this is a great tazkiyah (endorsement). On the other hand, if a Sheikh criticises/warns against his student, this is a severe disparagement. BENEFIT 2. The student who fails to fulfil his duties as a student will most likely fail in fulfilling his duties as a Sheikh - IF he ever becomes a Sheikh.
