Part 5: Three important points related to Ihyaa At-Turaath
POINT 1: But some of the scholars praise Ihyaa At-Turaath?
One of the main ways through which Hizbi organisations like Ihyaa At-Turaath are able to deceive some of the Salafees is drawing close to the Salafi scholars and presenting a positive image of themselves in order to win their praises. Once they achieve this goal, they waste no time to advertise this on their platforms; 'Sheikh so-and-so is with us, Sheikh so-and-so visited us, Sheikh so-and-so is delivering a conference at our masjid, Sheikh so-and-so praised us...'
This brings us to the following doubt:
Questioner: Jamiyyah Ihyaa at-Turaath have called some of the Scholars such as Ibn Baz, Abdul-Muhsin al-Abbad and ibn al-Uthaymeen. They have managed to acquire an oral praise from Shaykh Abdul-Azeez ibn Baz may Allaah perserve him, in which he stated "Jamiyaat Ihyaa at-Turaath are good, so co-operate with them and if they have mistakes then clarify their mistakes.." So when they heard what they wanted to hear, they abandoned calling those scholars. The doubts of some of the brothers there (in England) is that they say, "If this organisation was one upon evil and misguidance, why would those scholars praise them?" Therefore O' Shaykh what is your reply to this (doubt)?
Shaykh Muqbil Al-Waad'iee responds: All praise is due to Allaah, and may the peace and salutations be upon our Prophet Muhammed and upon his family and companions. I bear witness that there is none worthy of
worship except Allaah in truth, and I bear witness that Muhammad is his Slave and Messenger. Whomsoever Allaah guides there is none who can misguide him, and whomsoever Allaah misguides there is none who can guide him. Concerning our virtuous scholars - may Allaah preserve them, a member of (this) organisation approaches them and says 'O' Shaykh, we work in building masjids and open schools for the memorisation of the Quran, and feeding the orphans, digging wells and other deeds which are praiseworthy and righteous. So if any of the scholars were to be asked of his opinion regarding building masjids, the memorisation of the Quran, sponsoring the orphans and the callers to Allaah, and digging wells..Who would say this is not permissible? There isn't anyone who would say that these righteous actions are impermissible...However, the scholars are not aware of what follows on from that. In reality, the wealth which is donated to the Jam'iyyah is used to war against the people of the Sunnah. In Sudan, Yemen, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and many of the Islamic countries, even to the extent that books may be published to wage war against the people of the Sunnah and we have seen the (evil) fruits (of their actions): (Poetry) 'Adiy followed the example of his father in generosity // and whosoever takes after his father then he has not gone wrong.'
A Kuwaiti (from Ihyaa at-Turaath) came and said to some of the brothers who followed them; "Our Da'wah (Ihyaa at-Turaath) did not take off except when we left the scholars." [https://t.me/madrasatuna/2778]
Note: Another deceptive method employed by Ihyaa at-Turaath to dupe some of the Salafees is their publishing some of the books of the Salaf alongside publishing the books of those are astray, like Sayyid Qutb.
POINT 2: Abdurrahmaan AbdulKhaliq is no longer with them!
One thing that you notice when reading the refutations against Ihyaa At-Turaath is this same name popping up time and time again; Abdurrahmaan AbdulKhaliq. This is why Ihyaa At-Turaath strives to save its image by distancing itself from this individual by claiming that he is no longer a member of their organisation. However, this is just a smokescreen to dupe the Salafi community.
