BENEFIT 1: Question: How do you say fly (insect) in Arabic? Answer: ذُبَابٌ Dhubaab It was called so because: كُلَّمَا ذُبَّ آبَ Every time it is expelled (ذُبَّ ) it returns (آبَ) ____ Benefited from 'Ali Al-'Afari hafidhahullah BENEFIT 2: I heard Sheikh Abu Bilal hafidhahullah mention in one class: “Flies are the most sexually active creatures.” BENEFIT 3: Narrated Abu Huraira radhiyallahu anhu: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, ((إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِي إِنَاءِ أَحَدِكُمْ، فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ كُلَّهُ، ثُمَّ لْيَطْرَحْهُ، فَإِنَّ فِي أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ شِفَاءً وَفِي الآخَرِ دَاءً)) "If a fly falls in the vessel of any of you, let him dip all of it (into the vessel) and then throw it away, for in one of its wings there is a disease and in the other there is healing (antidote for it) i e. the treatment for that disease." [Al-Bukhari, 5782] The scholars of Fiqh (الفقهاء) have derived from this hadith that insects with no flowing blood; also referred to as (ما لا دَمَ له سائل) in the books of Fiqh, that the corpses of such insects are pure and not Najis.
