Difficulties waking up for Fajr

21 April 2020 • 1.6K views
•══════════════• Sheikh 'Uthaymīn, may Allāh have mercy on him, was asked: I observe all my prayers in the masjid, but sometimes I miss the Fajr prayer, and it may even be that three consequent days go by where I am not granted tawfīq to attend (the congregation), bearing in mind that when I go to sleep my intention is to wake up (and pray on time), and I feel regret and become anxious if I miss the Fajr prayer. What should I do? ▪️The Sheikh replied: You have to take the necessary measures to wake up: 1⃣• keep an alarm clock by your side. 2⃣• If you are a deep sleeper, ask your family to wake you up. 3⃣• If there's no one living with you, ask your brothers to wake you up on the phone. And if Allāh -The Most High- knows from your intention your sincere determination to perform the Fajr prayer on time in congregation, Allāh the Almighty will aid you; because Allāh the Almighty advances and comes near to His servant more than the servant advances and comes near to his Lord. 📚 [Al-Liqā' Ash-Shahrī (54)] ____ ✍🏽 Translated by: Abū Isḥāq Muḥammad ibn Aḥmad Al-Barāwī JOIN, LEARN, SHARE: https://t.me/madrasatuna
