BENEFIT 46: True Generosity
Our teacher, Dāris ḥafidhahullāh mentioned in one of the classes:
“The generous one is the one who gives voluntarily without being asked.”
On this note, I advise my fellow brothers and sisters, if you know that your fellow Muslim is in need while you have the ability to assist them, then do so and don't wait for them to come and ask you:
• The Prophet ﷺ said:
“He who gives adjourns the one who is in debt or writes off his debt, Allāh will shade Him under His shade.” [Muslim 3006]
• The Prophet (ﷺ) said: “There was a merchant who used to lend to people, and whenever his debtor was in difficult circumstances, he would say to his employees, 'Forgive him so that Allāh may forgive us.' So, Allāh forgave him.” [Bukhāri 2078]
• The Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever relieves his (Muslim) brother of a discomfort, Allāh will relieve him of a discomfort from the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection.” [Bukhāri 2442]
