(14) The rows must be straight, and this is achieved by standing shoulder to shoulder, ankle to ankle, without leaving any gaps

🔺Note: Sheikh ’Uthaymīn raḥimahullāh said, this does not mean pushing your brother with your shoulder, rather the Prophet ﷺ said: “The best of you are those whose shoulders give least annoyance in prayer.” [Abū Dāwūd]
(15) It is not permissible to precede the Imām during the prayer. Sheikh ’Abdullāh Al-Bassām raḥimahullāh said: “This is forbidden if done intentionally, and it invalidates the prayer according to the most correct opinion. And if someone precedes the Imām in the initial Takbīr (Takbīratul Iḥrām - by saying Allāhu Akbar before the Imām), he has not initiated the prayer.” [Tawḍhīḥ Al-Aḥkām]
(16) Pray behind the Imām without holding a mus-ḥaf unless there's a need to do so; for example, if there's no one to correct the imām, one person should hold the muṣ-ḥaf and correct the imām. Also, it's allowed for the imām - if he hasn't memorised the Qur'ān - to lead the people in prayer using a muṣ-ḥaf; as was the practice of 'Ā'ishah -raḍhiyallāhu 'anhā- with her servant boy Dhakwān, who would lead her in the (night) prayer using a muṣ-ḥaf.
(17) There should only be one person correcting the Imām. If everyone tries correcting him it causes more harm than good.
(18) Tarawih and Tahajjud are not two different prayers, as some wrongly assume.
(19) During the Qunūt of Witr, you should say Āmīn only if the Imām is requesting something from Allah during his supplicating. If the Imām is praising Allāh, you must not say Āmīn. For example:
No more Āmīn
(20) Some people treat the masjid like a social club while Tarāwīḥ is taking place. They sit in a corner of the masjid chatting and joking, then as soon as the Imām says Takbīr, you see them racing to catch the rukū.

(21) If someone is in the habit of offering night prayers and they miss it due to a valid reason, they have the opportunity to make it up during the daytime. However, they should do so by praying an even number; by adding an extra rak’ah to the amount they usually offer at night. For example, if a person usually prays 3 at night, he would pray 4 units (2 by 2) when making it up during the daytime. ’Ā'ishah raḍhiyallāhu ’anhā said: “If he overslept at night or fell ill, he would observe twelve rak'ahs during the daytime.” [Muslim] i.e. He ﷺ used to pray 11 units at night, so he would add one rak'ah when making up for that during the daytime.
Ash-Shawkāni raḥimahullāh said: “This ḥadīth proves the legislation of making up the Witr prayer if one misses it.” [Nayl (3/318)]
And the time to make up missed night prayers is between Fajr and Dhuhr. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Should anyone fall asleep and fail to recite his portion of the Qur'an, or a part of it, if he recites it between the dawn prayer and the noon prayer, it will be recorded for him as though he had recited it during the night.” [Muslim]
The scholars explained that this is referring to the night prayers.
