I asked Sheikh Jum'ān this question yesterday after Jumu'ah Ṣalāh and he said: “If the time for prayer comes and this is the only place a person has to offer Ṣalāh, the prayer is valid.” Note: if there's statues or images in this place, a person should avoid praying directly towards them.
