I urge my fellow brothers and sisters to take caution! There is a fatal desease circulating amongst some of the Muslims. It may not cause blindness to your sight and hearing, but it will certainly cause your heart to grow blind - if left untreated. This desease is known as At-Tamyee’ (watering down the Deen). Its symptoms vary; mild cases exist within those who tread the path of 'take the good and leave the bad' and those opposed to knowledge-based refutations; moderate cases are found with those who warn against Salafi scholars for their 'rigidness' and lack of compromise; while severe cases lead victims to do away with Al-walaa wal Baraa'; Today we have seen an example of such case. Other examples of severe Tamayee’ include advocating for freedom of speech, freedom of religion, LGBT rights, gender equality, Feminism, etc. But rest assured, there are various ways to get tested for this desease. One quick way is to gauge your reaction after reading the above Fatwas; do they sound normal? If so, praise Allah, for your Tamyee’ level is minimal, but you still need to stay cautions of any mild symptoms; however, if you consider them extreme, then I'm afraid to say, you are definitely carrying this desease.
