We know that بيتٌ means house.
Here are some synonyms:
مَسْكَنٌ ، سَكَنٌ ، مَنْزِلٌ ، مَقَرٌّ، دَارٌ
All of these nouns are masculine except دَارٌ, that is why the poet said:
يَعْمُرُ(هَا)
عَمَرَ - يَعْمُرَ = to populate / occupy
He used the 3rd person, sing., femine pronoun (ها) to refer to دَارٌ (whose plural is دُورٌ) because this noun is feminine.
